Earth, year 2055.
The planet has recovered from the Third World War (2029 - 2034) which was set between women and men.
Everything is like it would be, except the fact that Earth is no longer lived by women. Technology there is on a very advanced level, although 95% of people don't have access to most of it and never will.

But how do people there still live and keep the numbers still around 4 million? The explanation is quite obvious - children are born in laboratories thankfully to a great scientist - Anisim Pasternak. In year 2036 he and Anatoly Minsky managed to discover the way to produce little boys.

19 years after that, a young boy named Gavriil Dmitriev moved with his father to a town called Nyryla, where he meets Ilya Lebedev.
Gavriil and Ilya from the beginning became friends and went through big events together. But is it just a friendship that connects them? Even if it is than what is wrong with Ilya all the time? Why is he crying every night and why can't he ever fall asleep untill two AM and what is that bothers him all the time? Good questions...
