To (unexpectedly) Capture a Heart

Leo Thatcher. Trapped in an experiment where a tall fence separated their population from the otside world, she was trying to find away to escape after her mother had been caught and imprisoned for being "delusional". They all say she's lying and is out of her mind, but Leo thinks otherwise. She believes what her mother says.
Hyoma Tsukino. The son and heir of his family's experiment. He believes that life has no meaning, and he just takes over as their only son. Due to this fact, he had set his eyes on Leo. He thinks she's trying to escape from her grounds. That is, until she actually escapes.

Extract:
I unbind her wrists as she wriggled out of my grasp. "What are you doing?" She asked me. "Freeing you!" I shouted softly. "Why?" Because I can't bear to see you like this obviously. But I couldn't say that. She hated me. She has all the reasons to. I didn't. To me, she was the first person that had ever made me feel something. I didn't like it; it made me do stupid things like what I had been doing then. I grabbed her hand, encasing her small palm, but she shook it off. "Let go! What gives you the permission to touch me?!" I dropped my hand. Screw you, weird feeling! Stop making me do these things! I silently thanked the darkness because she couldn't see the blush tinging my cheeks from the embarrassment of trying to hold her hand. She walked past me, scent floating alongside her, and I had to remind myself that I hated her or it would have gone wrong.
I heard a noise, and involuntarily pressed my arm against her chest to keep her to the wall. I could feel her heartbeat thundering. She opened her mouth to protest. "Shut up, can't you hear someone?"
