COMPLETE 'It was icy, and the water pulled him under and soaked him in coldness so his body went numb, Merlin continued swimming down the lake until he realised he could no longer see, no longer feel, no longer hear. No longer breathe.' On a hunting trip through the forest Merlin's strange behaviour takes control of him and he's found barely alive in a lake. Arthur decides it's his job to find out what is happening to Merlin, but when Merlin falls into the hands of Morgana Merlin could be lost forever. Then when recovering from n accident something happens to both Merlin and Arthur, merging both lives dramatically together. Can they stop the magic doing this and most importantly, can they fix a broken Merlin?

As Uther calls Arthur to speak with him privately, Arthur isn't sure what predicament had occurred between him and his father. Until he gets handed a crinkled letter. The kingdom of Aeyland had just collapsed at the hands of Morgana. The letter explains that several knights are on a quest to find their King and Queen. As Arthur embarks on this journey with several knights from both his kingdom and the fallen, Arthur realizes something extraordinary. The kingdom has a lost prince. I got the inspiration for this story from a similar oneshot on Fanfiction.net by Aeon The Dimensional Girl if the user wishes for me to take this one down I will, however I will point out that I expanded on the concept and definitely made it my own. Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together.
