Middle school. Neither black nor white, but the space in between. Everybody is either still childish, or going through puberty.
Frank's the more childish type, he hasn't grown much in all. Gerard is quite the opposite. He's got a dark sense of humor and knows way too many "that's what she said" jokes.
The two become unlikely friends and decide to try out for the talent show, eventually finding they think of each other as more than friends...
