Yes this is a Mortal Instruments fanfic, but before you stop reading and go and look for another one just trust me, this one has a twist.
In that it is not base on the Shadowhunters.

Hope McEddens is mundane, who happens to be born with the sight. Now it's not because she has Shadowhunter blood or anything, she is just one of those rare occasions that are born with it.

She isn't really anything very special. She isn't very popular, but not unpopular. She's a normal teenage schoolgirl who frankly, would rather be somewhere else, doing something else than her boring school life. She doesn't even look astounding, except for the fact that she has purple hair.

But one day when she is out with her friends, that all changes. She is attacked. And the consequences are more than she could imagine.

Lost in a new life, she must hide herself in the mundane world, keep a secret that would threaten not just her friends but herself, and seek help from the Shadowhunters in hiding her true identity.
