[AU] Homura Makino is the hero named Wild-Fire and the sucessor of a dead hero named Atomic, she has just entered the solo hero scene by herself after a few years of being a teaching assist for UA. After overcoming her lost childhood and losing her childhood friend, she chose the path to being a hero. Homura became a full-time hero during an attack. She encountered Dabi, and he realized they were both matches in power of quirks, but her flames seemed familiar to him. She changed she wasn't her childhood self. It wasn't HER. It's like half of her disappeared, almost like she also lost her mind. She was a different person like her light went out. She was burned out and tired of life. Fame and money mean nothing if she can't have her first love back.
"People change..." She replied softly to his question. "People change when someone close to you die and especially someone you thought you would love till the day you die...disappear from your embrace, from your memories, a part of you dies too." He wiped away her tears and brought her into a sweet embrace silently holding her as she sobbed.

I'm not the best at writing people with personalities like his, but I will try my best. This is a universe where people have quirks (I call them abilities/powers in the work), but it's not as common as it is in the canon universe. Dabi is not a member of the LOV/PLF, as they AND the hero society do not exist in this world. He still has a vengeance towards his father, but I'm approaching it in a different light - one you will see as you read. This work does have mentions of physical, mental, and emotional abuse as well as alcohol and drug use. Please proceed with caution and know that I do not write about these things lightly!
