After Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanov failed to shut down Hydra, the resulting fallout was catastrophic, resulting in millions of people dead. After they'd settled into relative stability in power, they'd devised a twisted game involving twenty teenagers and young adults chosen at random, being forced to fight to the death in an arena while the rest of the world watched. Five years after Hydra's takeover, the games continue, each year ending with nineteen deaths.
But the real question is, what happens to the winners after they're the last ones standing?
