16-year-old Obsidian Yakivev lives in a society that believes in the idea of homosexuality to be nothing other than a rare sickness. But Obsidian finds out he is attracted to other men. Whenever people find out they have this "illness" they must report it for treatment. Obsidian believes he should stand tall and resist.

16-year-old Gabriel Vladimirov on the other hand is stricken with poverty and a life of crime after his ceremony; he has nowhere to turn due to resisting his treatment. He finds Obsidian and sees him nothing more than a pest.

Their government promises treatment to the ill. But, it turns out their idea of treatment is torture and slaughter.

Can Obsidian and Gabriel put aside their differences and take down this tyrannical government for good?
