In Adeline Smith's world, nothing can be determined. Living in the Empire of Aryoben, when her parents are killed for belief of being fae and half of Adeline's face is scorched in flames, she wants revenge. This was not the first incident the king had to do with Adeline's family, and it was the last one that Adeline will take. When she wakes up after her parents burning and finds the whole riot tied to poles, burning, and have their mouths sewn shut, she is mortified. She travels to the Empire of Tradal, seeking for help of others like her. Seeking for help to assassinate the King of Aryoben.
