Elwyn is the adopted daughter of King Thanduil of Mirkwood and younger sister to Legolas. When her betrothed Thorin Oakenshield is rumored to have died in the lonely mountain by Smug the dragon. She falls into sadness. She goes to Rivendell to heal and stays there for many years. Once she sees Thorin again can they not have what they once shared.
