Borrowers: a race of diminutive human-like people the size of a single finger are beings hidden within under the floorboards, walls or even ceilings of every human home, tasked with the job of "borrowing" items from their respective human beans as means to live and survive. Recently the humans have tolerated the activity of the Borrowers after a treaty form between species was made years ago, but it did not stop the Borrowers from doing what they do best. 15 year old Iris Knob is your everyday Borrower. You've probably heard all related things about the Borrowers for a while now, but what you might not know is that for the last 3 years, Iris has fallen in love with a human bean who lives in the house she is currently borrowing from: Henry Omens.
