To survive you need to eat, to eat you need to trade. True Gallows understands this. True is ugly, mean, and they work alone scavenging the endless dead bodies left behind by a lethal disease. They feed fresh goods into the After Market while civilians turn a blind eye, happy not to have to choose between starvation and joining the shadow dwellers in eating human livers. 

When a cult of medics known as the Red Faction starts destroying After Markets, True take a trade to destroy the Faction right back. Armed with their shovel and plagued by their eerie stalker, Radio Silent, they traverse a land of cannibals, overly friendly strangers, and backstabbing, to complete what might end up as their final trade.All Rights Reserved

Perhaps they were once the same-- brothers in humanity-- but now they're brothers in cannibalism. Though these monsters may look human, it's important to remember they are anything but. They are not alive, and they are definitely not human. Kai Chrysostom's brother, Ash, just died. He was the family's Sawney, the hunter of Fos: the one who went into the white plains just beyond the city walls to hunt Fos for food so his family could live. Most days, he would arrive home, place heart after heart on the dinner table and smile at his brother, whose constant twitching and childhood disease meant he could never kill a Fos himself. Now, the task falls to Kai. Considered by most to be disabled, Kai has no hunt training, a fear of death, and worse-- a fear of the past. A death. A journey. Eternal hunger. A hunt he never wanted to join. And love. A girl Fos who spares everyone except him, and takes pity on the poor fool as he literally faints at the sight of blood in front of her. A prison. A savior. A loss. More death. And the past that demands to be remembered. And, it's great-- you've sympathized with your only source of food-- but you're hungry. I already have a family of my own. And what of my friends that's with me? They're the main course. In the little town of Norbury, Canada, there have been several people disappearing without a trace. A couple of my colleagues and I decided to do a news article and discover the reasons for all the missing people. However I never realized the horrors that would await us in the quiet little town. The town is not a real place in Canada, I just made it up. This is my first story ever so if I have grammar mistakes PLEASE CORRECT ME!!! I'm not a writer but I've had this idea in my head ever since I watched Hostel and Wrong Turn so I figured I'd see if anyone else is interested. Many characters from ONE including favorites such as Liam, Bryce, and Amelia fight to survive in a competition created by Airy, a competition that contains no food, a competition that forces them to commit to the lifestyle of something they never wanted to be. Also perma-death after a certain point. perma-death means that they can still use the radio but airy cannot respawn anybody. To explain how each batch gets hungry: Batch 3 does not need to eat, batch 2 needs to eat only once every- like- 3 months, batch 1 needs to eat like a human does. FORMATION OF THE IDEA: I was talking about ONE to someone when I realized, do they have to eat in ONE? There are scenes where Liam is eating breakfast and Charlotte is cutting carrots but it's never said if they NEED to eat. They're seen on the plane without any food for over seven months. So I got the brilliant idea to make them get hungry and likely have some characters resort to other sources of food! What would they do to satisfy their hunger? How long will it be until they go insane? For these competitors, they'll do anything to win, even if it means eating their friends. Four has always loved the idea of revival but never got the hang of it. Despite this, the integer, along with their pal X, starts a game show with 64 competitors taking part. And so, these objects are stranded in an unfamiliar land, one without food, one without family, one without rules. In this land of zero contact, objects begin to starve, objects begin to go insane. Maybe it is up to a brave few objects to try to take control and limit the deaths and cannibalism. However, will they use their power for good? Or will they abuse it to the point of no return? One simple rule: anyone trying to cross the bridge must die. A simple journey interrupted by the sudden failure of all electronics; stuck miles from the rest of the family; we struggled to even return home as society started to crumble around us. As it became clear that this more than a local problem and that no help was coming from outside, we retreated to the remote family farmhouse with relatives and trusted friends here we desperately tried to gather the food that we would need for the coming year. But as the world collapsed into starvation, anarchy and cannibalism, we began to understand the true price to be paid to ensure we were to be part of the five percent that might survive this apocalypse. That price might just be our own humanity.
