I watch as Delly spins the bottle. I watch it go around and around and around and land right in front of....... Peeta.

Delly gasps and puts a hand on her lips as if to cover it up. Peeta's eyes grow wide. My jaw drops and something unfolds in my stomach.

This involves me too. I'm fixing to watch Peeta - the loving Peeta, the Peeta I used to kiss - kiss someone else.

All because of a stupid kid's game!

I know it's better if I look away. I know it's just a game and it's not real. I know there's no way the old Peeta would have preferred Delly over me.

But that's just it - I know.

But I can't look away. Not when they lean into each other. And not when their lips finally touch.

~~~
What if one night the victors in Mockingjay got their hands on a few bottles of liquor and decided to play spin the bottle?
❝Who are you? Who 𝘢𝘮 I?❞ ✑✑✑✑ All tributes know when and how they get in the Arena. The Victor, however, never knows when or how they get out. Not until Claudius Templesmith announces their name and district to the entire nation. Once the tribute becomes a victor, they're taken out of the Arena. Only to eventually realise they never truly escaped. The nightmares, the cameras, the deals, nothing ever lets them forget. Their entire lives, they're reminded of what they did. The mask of luxury that covers their sleepless nights and destructive thoughts, is kept in place by the finest glue known to President Snow; a bit of hope mixed in the bowl of darkness and fear. There's but one problem with that mask. For it to work, the victor must have two essential things; haunting vivid memories and loved ones they would trade their lives to protect. One without the other is to no use. So when Olive Navin Cresta survives the 69th Hunger Games with no recollection of her time in the Arena, the mask gets destroyed before it's even placed. Please, don't forget, the odds are never in our favour. ✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑ 𝕒𝕞𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕚𝕒𝕔 /𝕒𝕞ˈ𝕟𝕚ː𝕫ɪ𝕒𝕜/ 𝕟𝕠𝕦𝕟, '𝕒 𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟 𝕖𝕩𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒 𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕚𝕒𝕝 𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕠𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕝𝕠𝕤𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝕞𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕪.' ✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑ I DO NOT OWN THE HUNGER GAMES I only own my OC and part of her family. Hijacked (An Everlark Fanfic) (Plot twist/After Mockingjay story)
18 parts Complete
This story is based off a mini plot twist, but otherwise this is just an After Mockingjay story. The plot twist is basically that Katniss didn't kiss Peeta when they were in the Capitol during the Rebellion, and how it would effect Peeta's recovering, since that is obviously taking it a step back. --- Katniss is broken, tortured, and she has lost almost everyone she ever took a second to care about. Almost. Peeta is still alive, but also still hijacked. Will Katniss find a way to cure Peeta, and get him to come back to her? And how does their future, after the Rebellion, look? (The first 16 chapters has been re-written, because I accidentally deleted the story oops)
