Lucy Piker is a sixteen-year-old Brit and she is your typical teenage girl; she's chic, she does herself up on special occasions and she obsesses over boys; especially heart throbs like Nial Horan and Alex Pettyfer. But who doesn't? All in all she practically defines a British teen girl. However, many things differ from her and the American folks. Lucy gets invited to stay with her Dad and his fiance for three months so she can attend their wedding, where she will be one of the few Bridesmaids. She is excited about the trip at first; meeting her future Step-Mum and sister for the first time and getting to see her Dad after a while, What's not to look forward to? But it seems to slip her mind that she has to travel miles away to California where her Dad now lives, and she has to do it all alone. When a trip consists of boys, romance, bitchy-girls and weddings bells there is bound to be trouble sometime, and Lucy seems to be on the receiving end of it. Will the timid teen from a small town in England be able to survive 90 days in a place like Capitola?
