A Tournament For My Heart

I swallow nervously looking away from him "I have them for you." He says quietly.

"Have what?" I say lowly, wanting to hear him say it the same way he wanted me too.

He placed a finger under my chin tilting my head for me to look him in his eyes "Feelings." He says with no hesitation.

I crease my eyebrows not wanting to believe that he actually feels the same way I do.

As if he read my mind he said "I do." Confirming it for me again as if he could sense my overthinking.

"Now I'm going to ask you again." He says with his finger still under my chin.

"Do you have feelings for me?" He asks deeply.

Kali is a junior nursing major. Who is introverted and shy but extroverted around her friends and Rommies Jaz and Shayla.

Kayden is a junior with a major in criminal justice and minor in sports management. Go figure because he is a basketball player. A pretty darn good one at yet.

Which is how our characters Kali and Kayden meet.

Kali and Kayden have been friends since freshman year of college. Bonding over basketball. When suddenly Kali starts to gradually develop feelings for Kayden over the course of their three years at university. However, those feelings weren't always there.

Does this change their friendship? Or will Kali just pretend she never felt anything to maintain the friendship?
