My name is Maribel Isabella and this is my story. From the mountains of Puerto Rico, to the foster care system in Massachusetts, I have survived a Heroin addicted mother, abusive stepfathers, being in a gang, being homeless, and one foster hell after another.
I'm no saint, I've done what I have had to do to survive. I've lied, I've stolen, I've hurt people, I'm not proud of any of it, but it's my truth and I'm ready to share it.
This story does allude to themes such as rape, abuse and heavy drug use. The whole entire book is a trigger warning. Please do not read if you are sensitive to these themes.
