In the Society of Lacooa, nobody has a name. There name instead is four or five numbers. 6298 lives in town 6 and is about to see her friend 4157 when she is told to see the Prime Minister. He tells her that she is being relocated or as she calls it 'kicked out'. Whist outside Lacooa, she tries to find out why she was kicked out and how she can get back in to the city.
