Izzy Locke is the daughter of the gamma of the Emerald Pack. When she was seven, her mother died in a horrible car accident. On her 18th birthday, she reunites with her father and her brother, who have been estranged from her for the past 11 years.

Later that evening, she discovers Harrison, the alpha's son, is her mate. They spend the night together, confessing their love for each other. They don't mark each other because Harrison is supposed to mate another alphas daughter.
