16-year old Prim Mason has had a tough life since her parents began to fight.

Before, her parents had never even given her the side glance, always acting as if she didn't exist. That made it easier during their arguments. Except afterwards.

School just added to her problems. Her image pulled her friends out of the picture. Her quiet state drew bullies closer to her.
At least at work, there were people like her.
She only has one true best friend, Owen Baker, whom she met online.
But she only got to see him in person only once.
He said he would protect her always but she never felt safe after their tragic separation.

Prim wants to be able to feel love for others who care about her. After her childhood, she hoped that she could but it was impossible in a lonely world like hers.
Never feeling safe and always being lost. She could only trust herself, except she hurt herself again.

She can't stop because there's always a darker side of hers that continues to attack.
Like the moon, part of her was always hidden away. She wishes she can help others because she knows she'll never get that help.
Prim has a pure soul, she knows it. But can she ever prove it?

Ali Baker once adored her pack-until her mother's death forced her father to flee, shattering her world and leaving behind her best friend and first love, Ronan Black. Years later, she turns down Ivy League offers to attend college back home, determined to discover if Ronan is her fated mate. He is-but he already has a girlfriend. As undeniable feelings and their bond resurface, Ronan is torn between loyalty and destiny. When a dangerous vendetta emerges, targeting Ali, the two must fight for their love and their lives, forcing Ronan to confront the dark legacy of his father's past before it destroys them both. **** 'No! No! No! This is not happening!' Ronan panicked as he spoke to me through our mate bond. I could hear the defeat in his voice as I was taken further and further away from him. 'I want you to know that I love you, Ronan. These past few months have been the happiest of my life. I only wished I could have returned the favor to you.' 'Don't say it like you're saying goodbye.' He was in full distraught now. Ronan's voice was breathy and cracked as he spoke to me. 'I'm not. I know you'll find me again.' 'Yeah, I promise. I'll find you, baby. Hold on, ok?' 'I will. I will wait for you. I love you.' 'I love you too, Ali, more than anything. Please just keep -' Suddenly, I was alone. The mate bond was a funny thing. It had its limits. The bond worked like a rubber band. When we were close to each other, it pulled and strained against us, pulling our souls together and allowed us to hear the other's thoughts. That bond allowed us to feel the other's emotions and pain. It was a fantastic thing to be a part of. However, just like taking a rubber band and pulling it as far as possible, it loses strength before breaking entirely. Warning: Story contain graphic details of violence, torture, sexual activity, and curse words.
