Ferry is actually inspired by Click Five's hit song "Jenny". The story of Ferry was conceived on a train, on my way to work (or maybe on my way home?) whilst listening to the song. There were unnecessary flashbacks in my head that thought needed some justification, some sort of immortality by the power of words, sentences, paragraphs and ideas. It is about two teenagers, Ferry and Clair whose story we shall follow in a span of 12 years randomly picking one day to highlight the progression of the characters as they grow up to become adults. Each chapter is inspired by a line from Jenny. Ferry is a story of waiting, being selfless, learning when to give up and finding happiness again, a classic formula that never goes out of style. This work is written for all the Ferry's who rule the world and to all the Clair's who wait in the wings.
