In the bustling streets of 21st century Seoul, South Korea, a tale of lost friendship and rekindled love unfolds. Meet Lee Dahye and Shin Hiah, two childhood friends whose lives took an unexpected turn thirteen years ago.

It all began on January 1, 2027, when six-year-old Dahye crossed paths with seven-year-old Hiah at Yeon Seong Academy. Their friendship blossomed quickly, but fate had something else in store for them. Fast forward to 2030, Dahye is now nine years old and in Grade 3, while Hiah is ten and in Grade 4.

After a memorable moving up ceremony, Dahye's thirst and hunger lead her to a store across the road. Tragedy strikes as a fast-moving car collides with her, leaving her injured and traumatized. In the aftermath, Dahye's parents, Lee Yoomi and Choi Hyosonn, make the difficult decision to move to Australia, leaving Dahye's older intersex triplet siblings, Minyeo and Hajun, in the care of their aunt, Alex.

Four years later, in 2034, Dahye returns to South Korea with her parents, her memories lost to amnesia. Enrolling in Yeon Seong Academy, she finds herself reunited with Minyeo and Hajun, who are now in Grade 7. Meanwhile, Hiah, now fourteen and in Grade 8 at Kang Jeon Academy, carries the weight of their lost friendship in her heart.
