The kingdom of Mondstat has been without a ruler since Varka disappeared. His daughter and heir, Jean, is unable to be appointed in his stead due to the lack of evidence regarding his assumed death. Without anyone on the throne, the kingdom is left in shambles. Their only peace is the second-in-line princess, Barbara.
