Six Degrees, a small cafe in downtown Los Angeles, is where many people came and left. But this cafe had four very special regulars: Layla, Joseph, Eman and Mikhail. Layla and Eman were best friends, roommates, and two ambitious twenty-five year olds whose love lives were going nowhere.
Eman Syed, a workaholic, third-year medical student, didn't care for the idea of a man in her life. Medicine was her life and no one could stop her from achieving her dreams.
Layla Hassan, a successful engineer living in Los Angeles against her parents wishes, was in love with her friend and co-worker, Joseph Devereaux, a man she could never have.
What happens when Joseph decides it's time to introduce his friend, Mikhail Khan, to Layla? What happens when Eman begins to develop feelings for Mikhail, despite her reluctance to be in a relationship?
