We find little bits of 'food' here and there but other than that all we tend to see is walking dead corpses and infected souls begging for help.
Welcome to the apocalypse, where all buildings are broken and abandoned, all human life are hidden underneath ground level inorder to seek safety, and where all surprising things tend to occur :).
