Return to the Great Tree

This takes place years after season three of Tangled the Series. Cassandra and Varian are married and have a child, Opal. Opal's character belongs 100% to @ElizabethShelby and all other characters belong to Disney, except for Eleni, who is an OC. In this AU, Opal is 7 when Rapunzel's first child is born.

On the night of Rapunzel's first child's birth, some strange magic is triggered. The Great Tree has regrown, and Rapunzel becomes very ill. With not many other options, Eugene, Lance, Varian and Cassandra, and their daughter, Opal, venture to the Great Tree to try to find a cure... before time runs out. Will Varian and Cassandra be able to rise above the hate that the citizens of Corona still give them? Will Eugene be able to keep it together long enough to save Rapunzel? And, most importantly, will Opal ever find out what her parents did years ago?

I'm gonna try to keep this short, most likely under ten chapters, but, hey, it might get longer than I plan. I have no idea. There will probably be some fluff and mild angst (I just know that fluff is positive and angst is sad). Cover coming soon.
