JJ has always compared Abigail to a lighthouse. Reliable, safe, hopeful - the bright light in his sea of darkness, guiding him back home - to safety. But, unfortunately, all lighthouses eventually lose their light for a period of time. They burn out. They go dark.

PART 4 OF THE FOOL'S GOLD SERIES For the first time in a long time, Josephine Rhodes isn't running. Back home with the people she loves, life finally feels steady. Sunburned days, late night laughter, and the kind of peace she never thought she'd get to keep. The chaos is behind her. The cursed gold, the betrayals, the bloodstained ghosts... they're all buried. For now. But the Outer Banks have never been good at staying quiet. And somewhere out there, in the shadows of the island, in the dusty pages of a map that was never meant for them, something is stirring. After being abandoned by his mother at a young age, left to deal with his abusive father, JJ Maybank feels like he was stranded out at sea during a terrible storm, fighting to make it through each day. Even though he meets the Pogues at a young age, and they do make his life better, he's not able to shake the feeling. That all changes when he meets Abigail Grace. She comes into their lives, and makes JJ question everything he's ever thought about his life. Lighthouses have always been viewed as beacons of light, guiding lost souls, trapped in darkness, back where they belong. A symbol of hope and security. And that's what Abigail was to the Maybank boy. A beacon of light, constantly guiding him out of the darkness of his life. Life on the cut (JJxReader) OuterBanks Fanfic
SEASON TWO INCLUDED.- WORKING ON S3 Y/N is technically a Kook. A rebellious and reckless outsider in Figure 8, she feels more at home with her new friends, the Pogues. JJ's future partner in crime (literally...) -contains NSFW scenes A lot of JJxReader fanfics aren't with a chill "Y/N" imma make my own one. This is from a narrators perspective, but the first season mostly follows Y/N. The second one follows everyone and will be much longer because of it. This is a reader insert, I probably won't cover the scenes that you (Y/N) aren't in, for example- John b and Kie in the lighthouse. (only on the first season) Y/N - your name L/N - last name E/C - eye color S/C - skin color (Any grammar/spelling errors- feel free to tell me) --- This is my first story to be nice xD (All rights and OBX characters belong to the show obvi x)Complete

Forsaken {Female OC X JJ Maybank}
{Book 1/2} Growing up in the shadow of her older half brother, John B, would not have been the life Harley would have chosen. But then again, she also wouldn't have chosen to be poor, have a deadbeat Mom, an asshole of a Dad, and she definitely wouldn't have chosen to live in the outerbanks. After being dumped there at age six, Harley learnt quickly, that when you're a pogue, you don't have the best of luck. After being blackmailed by JJ, her brothers annoying best friend, Harley somehow finds herself getting in way over her head on a treasure hunt with John B and his friends, and in the chaos of it all, she finds herself starting to accept the fact that maybe pogue life isn't that bad after all, and maybe a certain blonde headed pogue in particular, wasn't as annoying as she originally thought. For the purpose of this story and the content in it, Harley is sixteen at the start of season 1 and the Pogues/ kooks are aged up by 1 year. It's been two months. Two months since the Pogues' world had splintered apart. John B and Sarah were presumed to be dead and as for Pope, Kiara, JJ, and Meg? Well, they weren't faring much better. But school was starting soon and they were forced to carry on in spite of their whirlwind summer vacation. But Meg should had known that things wouldn't be that black-and-white. Things in her life very rarely were. And all it took was one text message from an unknown number in the Bahamas to send her headfirst into another wild goose chase. Little did she know, this one would be even crazier and strain the limits of her relationships even more than the last. Welcome to the Outer Banks, paradise on earth.Complete
