Ten years have passed since the former Demon King last saw the love of his life and he's struggling to live despite the support from his children and everyone else he cares for. But he does his best to bury all that pain and protect the lands his wife once did many years ago.

However, the era of peace is threatened by the sudden birth of new creatures in Purgatory. But what astounds everyone is that these deadly beasts have somehow been merged with the powerful graces the Supreme Deity had bestowed upon the Four Archangels over 3,000 years ago: all but one grace, Sunshine, which the youngest child of the former Demon King still possesses.

Along with the new band of the Seven Deadly Sins and his old comrades, Zeldris must overcome his fears and step into the treacherous lands of Purgatory again. Purgatory is starting to crumble, portals are appearing out of nowhere, and chaos is spreading everywhere. But Zeldris is willing to risk it all if it means there's a small chance of being reunited with his wife.

Because the lost King made a promise to her. And he intends to keep it.
