It has been two years since Byssia declared war on Lysidora, accusing the kingdom of stealing away the Grand Chancellor's daughter and future leader. Unbeknownst to both superpowers, Beyla Rianda had been planning her escape all on her own. Terrified of the responsibility to lead, Beyla runs away to Lysidora, assuming the name Bibi and joining the Lysidorian Army where she crosses paths with Xander, the kingdom's second-born prince. Cold and cruel, Xander will stop at nothing to ensure that there is no room for weakness in his ranks. There can be no flaws when Byssia is looking to unleash a power that could ruin them all. Desperate, Byssia seeks to awaken the Horrors, ancient beings that created the world and could easily destroy it. Now, Bibi must decide: resign herself to a life of indifference or step into the power the Horrors have given her.
