I See Elephants

When Noelle fell in love with a tightrope artist, she promised to wait for him until he returned for her. Three years later, she has moved on, but his letters continue. Not knowing where he is or where he's going, Noelle can't write back. Instead, she learns about his travels, the people he meets and his plans for the future. Although she's given up that he will ever return, she dreams of elephants in headdresses and a man who won't allow her to forget their brief passion for each another.
