Far away in a world cradled by fire, humanity has been snuffed out. Gronfær Yon is one of the last of his kind and he has no idea. His mother is a magic wielding marcana able to bend the world to her whims if she so wishes and Gronfaer wants to be just like her. His younger sister is the strongest person he knows who is devoted to their family but is not without her own secrets. His father disappeared when he was young. Gronfaer watched him vanish from the edge of their world.
