"Celesta." His voice says, creeping around the corner and into the light that shines through the windows. "Princess of the Night Court." Tamlin's eyes bore into mine, I don't shy away from him as he moves closer. "The one who kidnaps what is mine." I stare back at him, unyielding against his piercing eyes. "Where is she." This is not a question, the High Lord is demanding. When I don't respond, he brings a closed fist down across my cheek. I look back to him and spit the pooling blood in my mouth onto his face.
"You have no idea what you've done, Tamlin." I say, my voice laced with venom when I say his name. "You should hope Feyre still has some love left in her to stop Rhysand from tearing you to pieces, though I doubt there's even a shred of feeling left for you inside her." Rage builds within his eyes as he stares back at me. "Though it will not be my brother that you should worry about, when Vossan hears of this, my mate will bring you a slow death."
"Where. is. she." The fury continues to consume his body.
"When I found her here, she wanted nothing to do with you Tamlin. You caged her, we set her free."

The Guardian of Night
Aether is the Guardian of the Night Court, sworn to protect her High Lord and the court she loves deeply. A role created by the Mother herself, she is soul tied to her High Lord Rhysand and must carry out the responsibilities given to her by her title, or at least she should have. Born on the outskirts of Velaris, she was discovered first not by her High Lord, but the King of Hybern. Used for her powers, she lives a century under Hybern's control.
