How did all of this happen?
We moved here, looking for a fresh start... Next thing we know, my dad starts drinking too much alcohol, and, during one of our arguments, I was holding the spear he gave me on my 7th birthday, and he changed at me with a broken beer bottle, and I readied myself to get hit, accidentally pointing my spear at his heart as he ran into it, killing him. The police didn't arrest me, but put me on probation, as they knew my dad was an abusive alcoholic, and allowed me to go to school. Next thing I know, the same accident repeats when a man breaks into our house and tries to force himself on to mom. Once again, I wasn't arrested since it was technically in self defense. The third time... A guy tried to rip my sister's clothes off, and I stabbed him right in the throat with my spear. His buddies tried to attack me, but ended with them dying as well. The next three days, before everything crumbled, I walked through school and sat in my classes, everyone whispering that I was a serial killer, even though all of those times were in self defense...
Then, crap hits the fan... My school becomes flooded with the dead attacking everyone, everyone in my neighborhood is being attacked as I run home, I grab my spear... And see that my mom and sister are dead, my sister feeding on my mom... She tried to attack me, but I used my spear, and pinned her through her throat, but she was still growling as her head fell off. Next thing I know, I grabbed anything useful for supplies, and hid in a car until a group of survivors brought me to their camp outside of Atlanta.
Three months later, that's when I met the officer that started some unknown turmoil with the other at the camp, apparently being in a coma for the last three months...

I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.Complete

Hello! So I've been asked to write a walking dead fanfiction a couple times now, I know the series is over but never late then ever am I right? With that being said TWD is a long ass series I'm not sure how long I'll do this for. I am starting by season one of the series just cause it makes more sense and gives me more wiggle room for developments. Some things will change from the original plot, if you don't like it then I'm sorry but don't read it. Eventually I'll stray away from writing word by word of what the characters say, just cause it's a lot to go back and forth to watch the episode to see what exactly was said and done. I am Mariah Langsten, I go by May or Mariah. My friends, or the ones left would call me Mariah Carrie because how I could sing. I never heard it like they did. I am with two other survivors, My best friend Beth Greene, once the shit hit the fan I had no chance to find her. But once I finally got to their house. They were all gone, the barn was burnt to nothing, few walkers lurking and something that looked like their house. She told me a hoard got them and she told me about her group and what happened. It nearly killed me when she told me what happened to Hershel. He was like my second dad when we were kids. We cried for a while in each other arms. Then the other survivor was a guy I found on my way to Hershel's, which was over a 4 or 5 months ago. I lost count, besides his name is Andrew Winder. Him and Beth became a thing, but we decided not to tell her we've had sex more than a couple times. It was for comforting purposes, but we both knew deep down. It was defiantly for the hell of it, we haven't had any one sexually for a long time. I was 23, blonde hair and brown eyes, Beth was 21, blonde with blue eyes. She was so damn pretty. Andy (As I called him) was 25, brown hair and blue eyes. I had zero training before all this started, all I did was play video games, eat food and cuss at online players when they pissed me off.
