When patient 00091 (or patient 91) gets put into a mental hospital at her doctor's recommendation due to a suicide attempt, she tries to relearn the purpose of life and the gravity of death while also trying to become happy again. She meets new friends along the way but stays hung up on old ones she could never imagine leaving. Her parents disagree with her preferences in friendship, and believe her closest friends are bad influences on her character. Are they right, or is it all a big misunderstanding? Thirteen year old Leah Manson, the patient, is confused about where her life will go during and after her placement in the hospital, and worries that she will be identified as insane by others. Will the people around her as well as her greatest passions in the world and a pinch of hope help her recover and manage her emotions better? Or will she fall deep again in her darkest thoughts? Not even she knows. This is based on a true story.
