Oliver Flint, a boy- no, man- has been raised as a Rank 1, the highest status their is. His parents are both Rank ones, and he is too. He is sent to the most prestigious academy there is- Glow Academy.

Marcus Baker, a humble boy, ranked 14. You are ranked out of 25. 10 and lower- it basically means your doomed in a nicer way unless you marry a high ranked person. He, somehow, earned a scholarship to Glow Academy by unknowingly helping the principal.
