Candace and Larisa, best friends since middle school, were living it up on their first European cruise, sailing across the sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean; meeting new people and enjoying all the luxuries the ship had to offer...

...right up until the moment the deadliest disaster struck

Coming on the cruise to forget her ex, Candace never thought her life would come to this, where she would be stuck in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with one of her bitter encounters, Tavin.

The ocean was rife with dangerous conflicts, with innocent travelers like themselves getting caught in the crossfire. They never asked for any of this - all they wanted was a relaxing vacation.

Can they make it out alive, or will they be forced to let go of their entwined hands and forget each other in order to save their lives and return to their sanity?

---------------------------- Alex never thought she could love anybody. Her family left her to foster care, and she hasn't been able to ever make any real friends. She plans to live a simple boring life, possibly until death comes for her, but is that what she really wants. No, perhaps she just needs someone... someone she never realized was just around the corner from her life. Shirley has had a great life up until now, at least she likes to think so. She does prefer looking at things through a more positive lens, so things like her debilitating health conditions seem to slip her by. Eating less food could only be a good thing right? Well, soon she would learn, not only to take better care of herself, but also to love. An experience she has yet to discover, until her lingering eyes fall far too long on one particular girl. ~~~~~ Wendy was the sweetest girl alive, with simply no one to share the overwhelming stream of love she had to share. When a storm hits her town, she's locked inside, desperate and alone for what seems to be an eternity. But unbeknownst to her, this would bring her closer to love than ever before. Marissa was getting over her past trauma, and only games could ever do that for her. During yet another month of locking herself up in her room, she found someone who was different, a light through the darkness that was her life, an angel, to save her tortured soul from damnation. At least, that's how she might phrase it. ---------------------------- The title was chosen years ago, so I decided to leave it be and combine these two stories. This will be a moderate length mini story for the two couples, exploring their journeys which happen at completely separate times. These are the untold stories of our side characters from my other book's shared universe, but reading those two books are not exactly necessary to enjoy this one. Either way, this is made for those who want to know more about these characters, so please enjoy.

Eliot and her best friend, Steven, are teenage survivors of the end of the world. Eliot's dad is a world-renowned survivalist, and he taught her all the rules. After weeks of waiting for Eliot's missing mother to come home, Eliot and Steven are ready to head to the mountains to reunite with her dad. Before their escape, they run into a stranded prince who needs their help. Eliot wants to follow the rules her dad taught her - find a hiding spot, avoid crowds, help only yourself - but she is torn. The prince is in danger, and there is a reward for his capture. Should Eliot run away to safety or save the prince?
