She could feel the tension as soon as she walked in. Eyes focused on her as the conversations paused. When her brother moved out of the way and exposed who they were hiding, she was at a loss for words. "Hi Skye, did you miss me?" he asked, raising the corners of his mouth. She just stood there bewildered. He seemed entirely different. She turned to face her parents, who were watching for her response, and awkwardly smiled out of politeness. Her voice was a bit unsteady as she spoke, "Hi Cameron." He approached her and encircled her in his arms. She dropped her phony face and kept her arms by her sides. The moment she turned to look, everyone giggled. She was not pleased to see her childhood enemy again.All Rights Reserved
