The Risen are light to their dark. Elementalists, all of them, each controlling a different power. Ice, Water, Fire, Earth, Energy and Wind.
Each member of both Light and Dark have their unique talents, all of which could be used to help the world in different ways if they tried together. But it appears light and dark were not meant to coexist and so their war has waged for millenia.
For those people caught in between, the hybrids, halfbreeds, fledgings, whichever you wish, the war is just life.
