Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless bound boy is constantly bullied by his former best friend Katsuki Bakugou, as you all know, but this is a story when a simple tussel is taken further than expected. Bakugou puts a bit too much behind one of his blasts when he is four years of age, a time when his quirk control was very limited, and it is aimed directly at Izuku's face, Katsuki looks on in horror seeing a massive red mark covering Izuku's eye as he screams in agony. This was not just a simple burn that could be somehwat healed in time, this was a scar that would stay on Izuku's face for the rest of his life.
For the next year of Izuku's life, it was a living hell to put it bluntly. Everyone was either terrified by him, or disgusted by him. The only upside being that Bakugou never touched him again, not even interacting with him. But he was bullied and outcasted in his school, and every time someone mentioned his scar, or he looked in a mirror, he would be reminded of his weakness and failure.
This would be the case for 3 more years, when at the age of eight, when became a possibility to him, thanks to a brunette who just so happened to transfer into his school. (Cover art not mine, without a doubt) This story will only get worse in time, don't you worry.

*****
After a summer spent in the Philippines, Lara Dela Cruz is eager to start her senior year and, most importantly, reunite with her three besties. But what she did not expect was to show up on the first day of school to all three of her friends now in relationships. Fighting for their attention, catching some new and confusing feelings for long-time frenemy James, and wading through the pressures of post-high-school plans all have Lara reeling. And to make matters worse, Lara's beautiful and untrustworthy cousin conveniently appears and wiggles her way right between her and James' budding relationship. Feeling like a third wheel in more ways than one, Lara must learn to accept that change is inevitable, love is complicated, and being the odd one out is sometimes where inner power is found.
