Beliefs (Boku No Hero Academia x Male Reader Volume 1)
The world filled with super powers is no longer a fantasy, the most action however comes from Japan of course. We've seen plenty of flashy and powerful quirks, the name of the super powers in this world, we have top ranked heroes such as All Might with his immersible strength, Endeavor with his bright hot flames. Or, you could look at heroes you might not have heard of but are making big names for themselves already such as Mt. Lady with her sizeable quirk, or perhaps Kamui Woods with a body made from wood? There are plenty of examples when it comes to great heroes, however, the focus this year will definitely be on the new heroes in training inside U.A. Highschool, a trio will fight alongside the characters everyone either adores and loves or hates and wishes didn't exist. And always remember U.A. High's motto: Go beyond! Plus Ultra! And well, he wasn't one. He was bullied, he was made fun of, he was slightly depressed, and he lost all hope after being told he couldn't be a hero by his favorite heroine, All mighty. However, he still did get into the UA School, the school for heroines, just not as a heroine, obviously. He was just there cause there was no other school that would take him. But he did become a Hero. Just a hero without a Quirk. After finding a Chest containing Weapons, items, and other objects, he decided to become a Hero, with no quirk. Heroes of the Duel
In a world where quirks define heroes and villains, a rift opens, bringing Duel Monsters cards into the world of My Hero Academia. Students of U.A. High School, including Izuku Midoriya, Bakugo Katsuki, and Shoto Todoroki, are thrust into the world of dueling. Legendary duelists like Yugi Mutou, Seto Kaiba, and Joey Wheeler arrive, teaching the students not only how to duel but how to connect with the heart of the cards. Midoriya, eager to understand the full potential of his quirk One For All, begins to use Duel Monsters cards to channel his power and enhance his strategic thinking. With the help of Yugi, he learns that strength isn't just in raw power, but in strategy and heart. Meanwhile, Bakugo's prideful nature leads him into fierce rivalries, especially with Seto Kaiba, who tests his abilities with strategic duels. As the students grow in their understanding of both quirks and dueling, the League of Villains, led by Shigaraki Tomura, begins to manipulate the Duel Monsters cards, turning them into corrupted versions. The villainous Shadow Duelist, a fallen hero corrupted by dark magic, emerges as the key antagonist. He seeks to merge both worlds under his control, using twisted versions of monsters to amplify his dark influence. The heroes of U.A. must join forces with the duelists to defeat the growing darkness. The students realize that true heroism isn't just about strength or quirks; it's about heart, strategy, and the bonds they form along the way. Some of the population is different from others and the other 20% are Quirkless. Lucky enough for Kanetsu Yoyume, he and his sister, Mizu, are apart of the 80% with their own Quirks that make them stand out as siblings. With one that has the goal of protecting them both while the other follows his sister, they're on their way to be heroes together. Soon, everything begins to go downhill as Kanetsu and Mizu continue falling down a hole of trouble. Them and the people they've befriended at the school soon need to figure out how to defend themselves...while having to defend others. ----------------------- WARNING! This story is pretty heavy and gets more dark in later chapters. If you are sensitive to multiple dark themes which will usually be named at the beginning of that chapter, this story is most likely not for you. In a world where 80% of the population has developed unique mutations in their genetic codes, giving them "superpowers", or "quirks", as they call it, it doesn't take long for fantasy and imagination to emerge out of the earth. And further, it doesn't take long for roles of "Heroes" and "Villains" to rise up as well. But... Who coins one as a "hero" or a "villain"...? The person themselves...? Or the people around them...? Light... Dark... Dusk... Dawn... Two sides of the same coin... Twilight... --- Kageyama Kazuma is a 16 year old boy, aspiring to follow his late father's footsteps, and become a hero who saves people. But... Not all can go as planned, or wished, right? So was the case for Kazuma as well, as his quirk soon found itself being held accountable for Kazuma being coined the word "villain" by those around him, before he could even begin his journey to becoming a hero. His only light in this darkness being his mother, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that smile she treasures so much to never leave the boy's face. But... Being a human at the end of the day, she can only do so much. Follow Kageyama through his journey to becoming one of the greatest heroes in the entirety of Japan. What awaits him on this journey?
