A young boy must cope with the tragedy of losing his father during the war. He takes on the responsibility of the household chores without ever being told to and without complain. During his cousins visit from the city, Johny is faced with challenges created by the cousins but never losing his composure or character. Accepting an invitation to the city, Johny once again is faced with miserable and difficult challenges created by his family but never once opting to offer unruly or inappropriate behavior.
