Starting over is hard. The unfamiliarity of it; the unknown to what comes next. The only thing you do know, is that it has to be better than what you left behind. You hope and pray that you're not making a mistake, leaving every piece of what you once called your life. But you can't look back, as the fear takes over your body. Because that fear of what comes next, is much lighter than the fear of the person you're running away from. And in the end, you end up leaving pieces of yourself behind for someone else to pick up. However, is the person picking up the pieces your saving grace, or worse than who you were running from in the first place? Nick is annoying, arrogant, and everything that Kennedy hates in a person. And unfortunately happens to be her neighbor in the city of New Orleans. He makes her blood boil, and somehow, they end up in the same friend circle as she slowly adjusts to her new life. Every time she thinks they can be civil in public, he finds a new way to make her hate his existence even more. She reminds him too much of the person she ran away from, and every time she tries to put distance between them, he seems to push harder. And Kennedy doesn't know why she keeps letting him.
