You are home alone, and you hear on the news about the profile of a murderer who is on the loose. You look out the sliding glass doors to your backyard, and you notice a man standing out in the snow. He fits the profile of the murderer exactly, and he is smiling at you. You gulp, picking up the phone to your right dialing 911. You look back out the glass as you press the phone to your ear, and notice he is much closer to you now. You then drop the phone in shock. There are no footprints in the snow... It's his reflection. Plus - Add Music to Emotion
This is a concept I came up with one night when I was driving home and listening to Ed Sheeran's album Plus. I thought about how it would be cool to use one or two lines from a song that he wrote in a letter to a person that I wrote. As soon as I got home, I sat down with my laptop and started writing the first two letters. I picked one line that I liked from each song and wrote a letter based on the emotion of that line, not necessarily on the topic of the whole song. Some of the letters are autobiographical, some are pure fiction. I'm almost done with the album and I'm currently thinking about doing the same thing with Multiply. The Gory Details (Gross)
Between 2004 and 2008 I wrote a series of "Tips for Writers" for Nocturnal Ooze magazine vaguely about what would happen in real life if you did the things they do in movies but mostly about the gross out. I've always loved them and so have taken them out of mothballs for a new audience here on wattpad. They're all here except for #13 which seems to have vanished. I've also left them mostly intact except for a few very dated references that have been updated.
