Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw is fine and anyone who says otherwise is a liar.
Really, he has passed the naval academy with flying colors (pun definitely intended), bombed a dozen enemy bases, factories and other things, gone to Top Gun, won Top Gun and even seen an fifth generation enemy plane from less than 300 feet, why wouldn't he be fine?
Thus, a mysterious mission with other Top Gun graduates and lessons from some famous captain? Peanuts.
Except the famous captain is the one Bradley left at sixteen, said captain's husband is somehow also teaching (shouldn't he be leading the navy or something?), several pasts get rekindled and somehow he becomes friends (or more) with the (in)famous Bagman along the way.
