Tanjiro had been away on business for several days when he returned to his village. The sight that greeted him was a nightmare - smoke brazenly drifted from the shattered ruins of his home, evidence that something terrible had happened.

With a heavy heart, he cautiously approached the wreckage, his hope quickly fading as he noticed the bodies of his family strewn about. He ran to them, tears streaming down his face as he knelt beside each of their lifeless forms. Each of them had been brutally murdered by something - no, someone - inhuman.

Soon, reports reached the village of similar occurrences in other regions. An eerie presence had been haunting the land and killing in its wake. The villagers whispered its name: Muzan, the Demon King.

Enraged and consumed by sorrow, Tanjiro vowed revenge against the Demon King. He took up a blade and joined the Demon Slayer Corps, determined to bring Muzan and his fiends to justice.

As time passed, the demon slayer found himself strangely drawn to his enemy. He met Muzan in battle several times and was astonished to find himself mesmerised by the other's alluring eyes and captivating manner. Tanjiro soon found himself in a quandary - could he really bring himself to defeat the Demon King when he had fallen so deeply in love?
