Confessions turned into regret. 

The Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka, likes one of the female Hashira, Shinobu Kocho. He has always been a loner. Giyu would stand by himself, and whenever someone would talk to him he either didn't answer, or his answer was minimal. So, when the loner went up to confess, she would've never guessed what he would've said. Who knew rejection could hurt so bad?
