A new kid shows up to the lifelong school of Robin Peters. This new kid, Kit, is an alt guy who wears a full face prosthetic mask everywhere he goes, and a rather advanced prosthetic arm. He's always buried in his books or phone, and is always listening to music. Robin takes interest in this new kid, and makes a goal to become friends with him.

When the three of them go to the new café down the road, the hot barista immediately catches Gabes eyes. The barista seems pretty interested but Gabe is too scared he will only make fun of him like the others. He's gotten used to being knocked down and made fun of, and he expected the same exact thing during his move to Nockfell. What he got instead, though, was a friend. The stereotypical bad boy; a stoner, a skater, a womanizer. But inside he's really a big softy; loves animals, the best shoulder to cry on, and a true artist. Sal fell in love with him quickly. It wasn't all good, though. The small town was small and scary- the normal "ghost town". Not many people lived in Nockfell, but for good reason. The town was a total freak show, not that Sal could talk. It was full of decay and death, and had an excruciatingly dark past. Larry himself believed that something about the town was off, though he kept a skeptical mindset. When the group of Ashley, Todd, Sal, and Larry all start sticking their noses in places they ought not be, what will happen? Will Larry find his father, or something much, much worse?
