"Who the hell are you?!" I screamed once my mind decide to defrost and begin functioning again. I raised my metal bat with steady hands for the off chance I needed to use it again. Soot growled from his protective position between me and the intruder, teeth bared and menacing, ears back and the whites of his eyes showing. Suddenly, I was glad I let my dad invest in the black husky.
My widened eyes took in the man that had just busted in through her bedroom window. His tall, lean figure was intimidating; the dark clothes that concealed almost every inch of his body; the rather large hood that hide the majority of his face; and the blood that covered his hands and most of his torso - I could not force myself to look away from the blood.
