In the scorching desert, a young boy slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings. He was met with a sea of unfamiliar faces - teenagers, all around his age, scattered across the endless dunes. The blistering sun beat down on them, relentless in its ferocity. As the boy struggled to sit up, he noticed the mix of fear, desperation, and determination etched on the faces around him. Some were huddled in small groups, whispering among themselves, while others wandered aimlessly, searching for something - anything - that could help them survive. The boy's memories were hazy, but one thing was certain: they were trapped. There was no sign of civilization in sight, just an endless expanse of sand and rock. This story is about a boy who lives in a society of cybernetic human beings who are changing humans into cyborgs at a certain age. This is seen as a right of passage. They also are injecting them with an emotional suppress drug because in this society emotions are invalid. Marcus realized there is a world outside his compound and finds a group of humans who remain pure. Will they accept him though he's begun his transformation or will he be abandoned?
