ROTTMNT FANFIC

Leo is struggling. After the Kraang, Leo is suffering from insomnia more than ever and his brothers are worried. Especially Donnie. One night, Leo goes to Huesos to pick up some pizza. There, he meets a certain samurai rabbit who is shockingly really pretty. After Leo and Usagi start talking, Leo feels like he is getting better and feels more loved than ever. Him and his brothers relationship gets better, and Leo has a heart to heart talk with Splinter.
Things don't get better right away though.
Things like this take time. There will be ups and downs, and even really lows.

It's been years since the almost apocalypse happened, all their wounds were healed and tough talks were had. So why is Leo feeling like this? What is wrong with him? Everything is fine! Why can't he just enjoy this happy ending like he's supposed to!? Utterly sick of his broken brain, Leo goes on a quest to figure out what the hell is going on with him and to fix it once and for all.

Some of my personal headcanons will be thrown in here as well :) Summary: The brothers are now at home resting and healing from the big Kraang battle, Raph is blind in one of his eyes, Mikey is getting physical therapy to learn how to use his hands again, and Leo's shell is being healed. Donnie being the only one who wasn't incredibly injured decided to take all responsibility of stopping villians, even after promising to his little brother that he wouldn't leave the lair. On his behalf, the hare was mourning over the loss of his dear friend, Spot, and his eyes held a look of internal exhaustion from a similar trauma, caused by the same event: the Kraang invasion. Leo notices the tired look on the rabbit's face and empathy lead his actions, forcing the turtle to start a conversation with the hare, and furthermore, helping the hare deal with the hardships of his life. It is there that the brothers learn the true value and power Mikey holds in the family as well as realising how close they came to breaking apart and vow to do anything to set things right Can they save their baby brother from an agonising death before it's too late? Will they be able to rekindled their brotherhood or is it the end of the Hamato Clan?
