The Beast's Crown.

I sat down at the bar, she took a seat next to me. Still keeping a distance. Adjusting the hood of the cloak pulled over her head. I couldn't see her face properly, which was hidden perfectly behind a mask.

" I can help you get what you want, but I want something in return." she offer.

I took a swing from the mug of aile the pub owner placed in front of me. The cabin had a warm feeling to it. So this is what the human world is like.

"What does your heart desire?"

I took another swing at my aile finishing it this time. There is nothing I can't grant once I am king again. Land, gold whatever the heart desire. The rain had begun and the noise it brought accapanied the pub atmosphere. Music played and people sat laughing and drunk to point of no return.

"I want the sword of shadow and the position of mage in your council." she demanded.

Out of all the riches, a sword and a position on my counsel. I have no choice, I need the black crown I need a witches or enchante or whatever these magic holder are called. I will deal with this mage once I get my throne back, I can feel that she is hiding something. Her heart beat was strong but erratic.

"Deal" I accepted.

She stood up from her seat.

"We shall meet again at the forest edge three nights from the full moon." She ordered.

Then hurried towards the door of the pub. When the door open the wind from outside carried a fimilar scent. I paused keeping my composure calm. Didn't want to let the others know that I am not human. After all this pub is full of bounty hunters and the cut on my head was worth the risk for them.

But before I could get another hint of the scent it disppeared.

Her POV

That was close I almost forgot the spell last an hour. I knew he caught wind of my scent for a
brief moment. What was I thinking, this can end badly for me.
